In a world obsessed with looking intellectual, have we forgotten how to actually think? In this video, I explore the strange rise of people pretending to read books (via the straneg rise of book recommendations based on unread books), and what it means for deep thinking. I know as much as anyone that reading has become an identity, a brand, and sometimes even a performance. But what happens when books become props rather than companions? Are we losing the ability to read slowly, think deeply, and engage with ideas beyond aesthetics?
