"The Death of King Arthur" (2024) by Felix Skiba.
A tone poem for orchestral ensemble (English Horn, 2 Bassoons, 2 French Horns, Harp, Strings), inspired by James Archer's painting "La Mort d'Arthur" (1860).

Started as a simple counterpoint practice but became a little bit more.
I tried a more mono-thematic approach while still evoking the deep emotions of the scene.
