Beginning in 2015, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) instituted a "Park Outside" recall classification to warn the public about vehicles that could possibly burst into flames when just parked with the engine off.
Since then, the number of vehicles covered under this warning has ballooned to over 3.2 million individual units, a full third of which are Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Hybrids.
You would think there would be public outrage and massive class action lawsuits over this, but somehow the general public has remained relatively in the dark, giving manufacturers the ability to continue producing these potentially incendiary bombs.
