Today I'm not bringing you an ordinary beginner's guide to poetry video but an EXTRAORDINARY one! ;)
As I was compiling a list of tips for beginners to poetry, I kept thinking of quotes from Mr. Keating (the inspiring teacher from the brilliantly heartbreaking film Dead Poet's Society)!
After watching D.P.S. for the first time, many years ago, Mr. Keating made me fall in love with poetry, especially by Walt Whitman! My hope is that this video will do the same for you!
I've gathered a selection of favorite quotes, and scenes, from the film which I think perfectly express how I feel readers should approach poetry.
