Supergirl is the latest theatrical movie and entry in the DCU helmed by James Gunn, a follow-up to Superman that centers on Milly Alcock as Supergirl, based on the Woman of Tomorrow comic book. Supergirl has had a handful of live-action adaptations in the past, including, but not limited to, her role in The Flash, set in the DCEU, the Arrowverse CW show, and a movie starring Helen Slater in 1984. James Gunn's next movie is speculated to plant the seeds for a Justice League-type group, with members of the Justice Gang making a return, as well as John Stewart's Green Lantern making an appearance to fight Brainiac. The writer of Supergirl is also set to write the DCU Wonder Woman movie.
