As a DC fan I can confidently say that this franchise will not work under James Gunn's rule and now with Supergirl flopping at the box office people are finally starting to wake up to what I've been saying since the very beginning.

Gunn is not the guy to usher in a new age for DC. At his best he's suitable for side character films and one offs but not the guy to be in charge of the entire series while directing AND writing Superman.
