So the lore is basically that Simon’s life wa s pretty normal, he was a happy and healthy kid, occasionally getting into trouble or scraping himself (he liked to explore and climb on stuff) but it was his birthday. And so basically a group called the “three devils” came to his house in disguise of people bringing packages, one of them came inside because they were requested to “help take it out of the box” while the others climbed in through an open window. Simon was in his room, figuring out one of his birthday gifts so he couldn’t do anything like call the police. The two that snuck in came from behind and struck Mira, Simon’s mother, with a knife to the chest. They quickly escaped but not before writing a note. Simon heard a scream from his mother and walked out of his room to see, well, Mira with a knife to her chest.
