At the Hochjoch glacier in Austria, a glaciologist researches the changes due to global warming. Every year she takes samples and documents how the ice recedes more and more. To do so, she has to hike up the glacier by herself and sleep in bivouacs in the middle of the cold. Even though the work is hard and dangerous, the scientist is often overwhelmed by the beauty of her object of study.
