Is morality objectively definable, or is it just a matter of individual opinion? Philosophers have hotly debated this question for centuries. We not only argue that core moral arguments are, in fact, objectively defined, but also that if the "rules" governing human interaction are simple a matter of personal opinion or taste -- like choosing your favorite flavor of ice cream -- then moral disagreements cannot be resolved through reasoned debate.
And if differences of moral viewpoint *can't* be resolved by talking, the only alternative left is complete isolation or violence.
As we leave 2024 and enter 2025, we hope everyone will choose reason & debate and less violence when dealing with other people -- no matter how strong their disagreements are.
