This is a short snippet of something the WB/CW used to do during Christmas Eve/Day..... or rather, what the cable/satellite version of the WB/CW used to show. Here is their version of the TV fireplace, also known as a Yule Log. It was called the Holiday Hearth and some years, it would run on a repeated hourly loop for nearly six to eight hours straight during times when infomercials would normally air. It's a nice little log with typical Christmas tunes, but whoever was running the camera didn't seem to know or care about manual focus. At some points you can clearly see the fire messing up the camera's autofocus.
This hearth only aired on a specific WB/CW feed called "The WB Plus/The CW Plus", which was sent to smaller market cable companies, or in this case, an over-the-air UHF station in Sioux Falls, SD. On this version of the WB/CW, syndicated TV shows and movies aired at all times of the day with the WB/CW branding present, and the shows being promoted as WB/CW programs. The Holiday Heath initially ran without any commercial interruption other than the required top-of-hour legal IDs. By the time the WB became the CW, it started inserting short commercial breaks about every 20 minutes, completely breaking the immersion of the fireplace. An HD version of the hearth premiered a couple years later, using the same fireplace and slightly different music. Unfortunately, the CW no longer airs this fireplace on it's smaller-market feed.
