Link's Awakening has a secret: the French version contains a hidden song activated by putting in the name LOLO, just like ZELDA/Totakeke (JP).
This song isn't in any other version, and was removed in the DX version.
The German version also contains another hidden song, which is different from this one, activated by putting in MOYSE as your name. Claude Moyse was the German translator for NIntendo's games at the time, and also handled this game. kirbysrainbowresort.net/kirbypedia/Claude_M._Moyse
Interestingly, the French version of the DX release uses LOLO to activate the special ZELDA song, with "ZELDA" having no effect. In the German version, MOYSE instead plays Totakeke's song, and ZELDA activates its usual music.
The only password in all US releases was ZELDA, which seems to indicate that the US was the only region to have no second music code.
Credits to Smallhacker for finding this, and various others for researching it further.
