The vanishing point of parallel lines tells us if we are on a flat plane or on a sphere....
I would like to encourage you to find photos similar to those in the video: flat terrain with features that form parallel lines (roads, buildings, agriculture etc), with the horizon visible and taken from a decent height. You can then test if the vanishing point of the parallel lines is indeed above the horizon.
