Are the Kozyrev Mirrors portals through time—or one of the strangest experiments in Soviet and Russian science? In this video, we explore Nikolai Kozyrev, his theory of time as an active force, the experiments conducted in Novosibirsk, the work of Kaznacheyev and Trofimov, telepathy, magnetic anomalies, and the possible connection to ancient black mirrors.
In 1958, Nikolai Kozyrev observed the lunar crater Alphonsus and saw something that seemed impossible at the time—a cloud of gas rising from the Moon. But that was not the strangest part of his work.
Kozyrev believed that time was not merely a backdrop against which events unfold. According to his theory, time is a real physical force—a flow that can interact with matter, become concentrated, be reflected, and even perform work.
After his death, this idea was taken up by researchers in Novosibirsk. Academician Vlail Kaznacheyev and Alexander Trofimov began experimenting with aluminum spirals and cylinders that would later become known as the “Kozyrev Mirrors.”
According to their accounts, unexplained phenomena occurred inside these structures: apparent telepathic connections, mysterious flashes and symbols, magnetic anomalies, a sense of contact with other points in time and space, and even attempts to receive information from the future.
But there is also a serious skeptical case to consider. Kozyrev himself never built these mirrors. The claims have never been independently verified. And many of the reported experiences may be explained by sensory deprivation, darkness, isolation, suggestion, and the psychological effects of prolonged mirror-gazing.
So what exactly are the Kozyrev Mirrors?
A failed experiment?
Pseudoscience?
