We built this Cruiser 17.8 for our friend Terry Kent for the upcoming season. Terry is a competitive canoe racer with an impressive resume and an even bigger trophy case. He needed a boat that was sleeker than our Cruiser 16.8 but with more waterline and more glide. The Cruiser 17.8 was borne out of this idea, and we developed the boat alongside Terry, David Yost, and our factory team. We added three custom details for Terry - a new Assist Bar to help with lifting and electronics mounting, a fully adjustable center seat that can slide and raise/lower, and a stern mounting sleeve for an innovative wheel system.
