Starting this beat... i kinda felt super direction-less so my answer was to just keep adding layers until something clicked. It wasnt until I started peeling back and mixing up drum layer combinations (making the bounce a lot simpler, leaving room for the toms) that i really caught inspo. somtimes once you get the drums down, everything else falls into place, especially when theres tonal drums to give you a direction of what notes to use and what not to.
