Just a quick rant I needed to do in order to avoid conflict at summer school. This is a rant on people who don't want to work for what they have, instead wanting to succeed without having to do work. These people with no work ethics are known as freeloaders, and some of them unfortunately attend my summer school class.

I decided to do something a little different today. Im doing a one-shot on a video decrying the current state of pop music (as in he bemoans songs that are in heavy rotation, or at least WERE as of Nov 2020) and pining for the days when rock music was on rotation. For now, well set aside the fact that things are called alternative and mainstream for a reason. Yeah, I know this video is over a year old, but being an amateur pop historian myself, this is right up my alley. Plus, its a way for me to show yall that Im still working on videos!
Thats not whats different, though. I am excited to announce that this is the worlds (or at least the SCCs) first ever music-based commentary. I opted for an avant-garde approach for this because I wanted to prove a point that I couldve only made with music.
If you dont like this song, youre showing me that people dont like what they cant access. This can apply to your average pop fan not liking metal, and, for that matter, vice versa. If you DO like this song, then it begs the question of why we like the things we like. And fundamentally, like a song or not, thats not what makes a song good or bad. Theres something much more than meets the eye, but thats a story for another time.

Ill be honest. I thought about how I was gonna do this one for a while, and it wasnt until yesterday that I figured out how Id go about it. Given the subject material, this is gonna be a more serious commentary. I strongly urge that you dont harass Sadie over this. Its just not worth it, and youll only end up making things worse. That said, I didnt make this commentary as a means of harassment; this is simply refutation with occasional humor sprinkled in because thats just what I do. Dont take this the wrong way.
