On the 1st June 2023 I was lucky enough to be invited to travel on the 'Official' first train to the new station at Corwen. The re-opening of the line to Corwen is the culmination of the dream of the founders of the Llangollen Railway and it was appropriate that the locomotive used on the first public train in 1981 was leading the first train to Corwen on this day. This short video is a cocktail of still photographs and video taken during the first trip.

A visit to the first day of the Tanfield Railway Legends of Industry Gala in June saw 0-4-0DE T.I.C. No. 35 [R&H 418600/1958] in action working a mixed train and then deputising for a poorly steam loco on a passenger train. It is seen in action at Andrews House, East Tanfield and Sunniside.")
