In today’s cardmaking tutorial I’m creating a firefighter themed handmade card using the Smoking Hot Hero Stamp Set from Pajama Crafter Stamps. This project focuses on alcohol marker coloring with Copic and OLO markers and how to use patterned paper to guide your color choices for cohesive card designs.
I’m pairing the adorable firefighter image with the Vintage Americana patterned paper pack, letting the deep reds, blues, and vintage tones inspire the coloring palette. This is one of my favorite cardmaking techniques for choosing marker colors because the patterned paper already gives you a beautiful, coordinated color scheme.
During the video you’ll see how I:
• Color stamped images using Copic and OLO alcohol markers
• Use patterned paper backgrounds to guide color placement
• Add dimension with heat-embossed sentiments
• Create an interactive handmade card using a mini wobbler
• Use simple ink blending and scraps to add layers and polish
