Although it received mixed reviews, this 2009 science fiction flick is definitely watchable. And even more-so because they included this interesting battery operated flip clock.
The clock came out around 1973 so it could be considered technically out of place since the movie is set in 2009. But It's more likely that the director wanted to show that Nicholas Cage's character had some class.
The clock was one of copal's "Tuning Fork" clocks - which basically meant that it was an early quartz clock. A big deal at the time, but now a detail sure to evoke yawns.
Still, this clock remains one of the prized clocks in the Flip Clock Fans collection.
