A look at the contrast created between Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X, influenced by a recent interview with Yoshinori Kitase by the EDAMAME Arcade Channel.

There's a lot of talk about the connection between Final Fantasy VII and Finaly Fantasy X. Usually people focus on the two games taking place within the same world. Rather than this, I wanted to explore the thematic connection between the two titles rather than an immediate lore connection. There's a lot still left open to connect, but I think I made a clear enough case.
