The Kit-Cats were an influential club of the late 17th and early 18th centuries, with our Collection featuring several portraits of the club members, painted by Sir Godfrey Kneller.

The portraits were recently in our conservation studio for treatment, as we get ready to re-hang the Gallery's Collection ahead of our reopening.

In this film, Conservators Alexandra Gent and Ffion Howells discuss the conservation work the Gallery has been doing and also share more about the 'Kat-Cat' portrait size.
