Super Smash Bros. will forever remain one of Nintendo's most iconic franchises in gaming. For over 25 years Masahiro Sakurai and his wife, Michiko, have designed some of the most striking interfaces, enjoyed by generations of players. To celebrate reaching over 2,000 subscribers on YouTube, I wanted to honor the legacy of my favorite fighting game franchise. I analyze the UI design of every menu in the Super Smash Bros. series, from its humble beginnings with 64, to the juggernaut it is today with Ultimate.
