For years, the common consensus in the FNAF community was that Five Nights at Freddy's 3 took place 30 years after Five Nights at Freddy's. However, recently it's been commonly called into question as people suggest that it was actually three decades after FNAF 2 and the Bite of 87 or the Missing Children Incident since the Steam page for FNAF 3 only says 30 years since Freddy's closed.
However, this is overlooking one crucial detail teased before the game even game out.
