In the fantastic animated film The Lion King, Mufasa takes SImba for a walk to explain what it means to rule Pride Rock and the kingdom. He says that everything the light touches is their kingdom. He also says you have to respect all living things, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope, whereas Simba asks; but dad, don't we eat the antelope? Mufasa's explanation is that when their bodies die, it becomes grass and the antelope eat that grass. Therefore they're all part of the circle of life.
This vlog/rant is my take on that philosophy.
