In which Ryan review The Circle, a 2013 novel by Dave Eggers. (filmed before leaving for California)
This book get's a hard rap sometimes, and understandably so. But I think it's also true that, if we examine our expectations about the book, we can still find value in it. I'm a big fan of the way this novel made me think about life in the 2010's, though I'm not in love with the way the story is crafted or told.
