"The Church at Garlock's Bend" is a short story by the American author, David Kaufman, first published in the April 1987 edition of Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine. "A mathematician returns to the abandoned town of Garlock's Bend and uncovers disturbing clues that suggest the mysterious force responsible for a decades-old tragedy may still lurk beneath the river."
