Inspired by a real Icelandic custom of gifting books on Christmas Eve, The Christmas Book Flood celebrates the joy of giving, togetherness, and reading. As snow falls and northern lights glow, a young girl searches for the perfect book for her family’s special exchange. When Christmas Eve arrives, stories are shared, fires crackle, and everyone reads late into the night. With lyrical text, beautiful artwork, and a warm, inclusive cast of characters, this story invites listeners to slow down, snuggle in, and enjoy the magic of reading together.
Read Aloud Edu provides authentic, human-narrated read-aloud experiences designed to support children’s literacy and language development. My readings encourage active listening while helping children build vocabulary, comprehension, listening skills, emotional awareness, and a love of reading.
When appropriate, I incorporate educational guidance such as vocabulary explanations, comprehension questions, and prompts that encourage children to think, listen, and engage with the story. These readings also provide children learning English as an additional language with opportunities to hear and engage with natural English through children’s literature.
Read Aloud Edu is an educational resource for families, educators, homeschoolers, and English-language learners. Each reading is my own narration and presentation, created to provide an engaging learning experience around children’s literature, not to replace the books themselves.
