The Charizard Ultra Premium Collection released in 2022 during a time where Pokemon Cards were in a bit of a cool down phase. While FOMO started out strong with the Charizard UPC, it fell apart quickly because Charizard UPC supply greatly outweighed the demand for the product. There ended up being so many Charizard UPCs available that Target and Amazon actually put them on sale prior to the Holidays.
Fast forward only 3 short years, and the Sword & Shield contents of the Charizard UPC coupled with the Alternate Art promos have caused the box to skyrocket to almost $600 in price.
