The Case of Cem by Vera Mutafchieva was published in Bulgaria in 1967 but Angela Rodel's 2024 translation is the first chance English readers have to experience this tremendous work of historical fiction by the most renowned Bulgarian woman author of the 20th century. I omitted to say in the video that this is a superb translation too.
