Many first-time visitors to Brennan’s in Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow, has popped in for a pint of milk only to find themselves, five minutes later, stood at a bar with a pint of Guinness in their hand instead.

Aisling Bolton-Dowling paid a visit to the shop and bar and spoke to owner Richard Brennan.
