A landmark of the Klondike Gold Rush, the Caribou Hotel's story includes fire, murder, a cursing parrot and eccentric owners including one who haunts the building. Originally constructed in 1898 as the Yukon Hotel, and later moved by barge to Carcross and renamed, the Caribou Hotel is a Designated Yukon Historic Site with a colourful history.
