Mama Raynolda was diagnosed with advanced cervical cancer in 1998. The stigma associated with cancer among some black communities in South Africa, led her husband to abandon her during this trying time. Many operations and treatments later, she is in remission and now spends her time serving cancer ward patients across the province of Gauteng.
