Every August, Grande Cache is home to one of the toughest ultramarathons on the planet. 🏃 ⛰️

Banff’s own Samuel Dickie won the wild 2026 Canadian Death Race, running 118 km in 13 hours, 25 minutes. Sam and the rest of the runners scaled three mountains in sun, hail, rain and lightning. Through it all, the wild spirit of the racers, their supporters and volunteers was absolutely inspiring.
