There was a time when camping was never the goal.
It was something you did on the way to something else — a summit, a crossing, a journey. A necessary pause before moving on.
Somewhere along the way, that changed.
In this film, I head out on a wild camp to explore when and why camping became an activity in its own right. No destination beyond the camp itself. No summit to chase. Just time, weather, and a quiet piece of ground for the night.
This isn’t about gear or ticking places off a list.
It’s about slowing down, choosing discomfort, and finding meaning in simply being out there.
Because maybe the adventure was never about where we were going —
maybe it was always about stopping long enough to notice where we are. This has to be one of my favourite outdoor activities now though!!
