Today was supposed to be a boring day taking rubbish to the local tip. Instead, a phone call from Nuffield Health changed everything in seconds.
Carolโs pre-chemo blood tests showed raised Troponin levelsโa sign her heart was under stress. With her immunotherapy treatment scheduled for tomorrow, this was the one thing that could stop her cancer treatment in its tracks.
Join us for a very different kind of day where we trade the rubbish dump for the cardiac unit, navigate the anxiety of waiting for results, and yes... Carol still finds time to worry about the bin collection schedule.
In this video:
What is Troponin and why does it matter?
The reality of "scanxiety" and unexpected hospital trips.
How we keep smiling (and arguing about bins) even when things get scary.
If you are following Carol's journey, thank you for your support. It means the world to us.
