An enormous crack has opened on the ocean floor, and a giant oil rig has collapsed. A team of researchers, including submarine operator Sofia, rushes in to search for the missing and assess the damage, but what they discover is even more horrifying: that this is just the start of a potentially apocalyptic catastrophe. As rigs are evacuated, Sofia's loving companion Stian becomes trapped below the surface, and Sofia must brave an ocean on fire to rescue him.
