Bill Cooper Today 2 | The Buddy Holly Special #1 - Bill Cooper @billcoopertoday2239 | Uploaded December 2021 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
On February 3, 1959, American rock & roll musicians Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and DJ J. P. Richardson (aka "The Big Bopper") were killed in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa, together with pilot Roger Peterson. Bill holds this day in high regard as he embarks upon a 4-part broadcast to honor the memories of these men, with much of the emphasis on Holly, as Bill intends to play EVERY song Buddy ever recorded, including a few you may never have heard, as well as going over the history of his music. Originally broadcast February 3, 1997.
