Question 1:1993 CB400 super four NC31 first gear issue. When the bike warms up there is difficulty shifting into low gears. Neutral - 1st etc.
Answer: Double check clutch cable adjustments. You need to have free play in the lever. If after checking the adjustment there is still an issue. You may be experiencing an actual clutch issue inside the motor. Remove and check as per manual.

Question 2: GSX600F severely struggling with RPM’s. Just cleaned the carburetors and now I am experiencing a problem with higher rpm throttle input. Bike will not rev up past 6,000rpms in any gear.
Answer: Check fuel flow. If the bike has a fuel pump you may be experiencing a problem with volume output. Check back through your work. Vacuum slide installation, main jets, slide needles, carb sync. Most problems can be a result of the last thing owners messed with so double check your work! What do the spark plugs read? Lean? Rich? Verify your readings at the top end.
Question 3: 1998 VT1100c3 Honda Aero top end is making a slight ticking noise. HVA issue?Answer: Could be an HVA issue or it could be cam chain noise. Using a stethoscope to isolate exactly where the noise is coming from can help. To fully rid the issue if it is either, would require the motor to be pulled from the bike. Maybe try oil additives?
Question 4: 1981 Suzuki GS650. Can a CDI be Bypassed? Are they bike specific?
Answer: No, the CDI should not be bypassed. They are vital to ignition timing and play a big role with how the system operates from one bike to another. Start fresh with good parts and a good harness.
