(Edited December 27th, 2019: Recently I learned that a version of this song was played during the horrific Christchurch massacre by the shooter. I want to make it 100% clear that I do not endorse any violent behavior committed by a person, group, or nation that plays a version of The British Grenadiers. I chose to make an arrangement of this tune because it's one of my favorite marches that I heard a lot in movies as a kid. My arrangement was made with no political or social commentary in mind, and I was not aware of it's connection to the shooter before including it in Krampus' soundtrack. I just love the sound of marches, and this one happens to have a bit of a stained legacy, especially in regards to British colonization. I hope that in the future, British Grenadiers can be reclaimed as a song of celebration rather than have it be used during violent acts. Music should never be used to encourage violence against innocent people, and I felt sick to my stomach when I learned that the shooter played it during that massacre. Stay safe, and have a happy holiday season.)
