U.S. debt has expanded rapidly, while demand from foreign buyers has not kept pace. In recent months, that gap has become more visible as market conditions tighten.

As yields rise, borrowing costs increase and demand becomes more sensitive. There appears to be a level where the system starts to face real resistance.

And the market may already be approaching it.
