Noreya is a flawed but interesting game with a beautiful presentation. Lovely, detailed pixel art and atmospheric music set the stage, but odd-feeling exploration and clunky combat can't quite match up. The half of the game designed around a more traditional Metroidvania progression is solid, but the half designed around openly playing in any order gets frustrating and lacks the more directed touch. If you're a fan of the genre, I'd say try it but be aware of its shortcomings before jumping in.
