We're also joined by Meidas Canada contributor Lisa Blackburn for a story about author Rachel Reid's recent and very generous donation that is helping to keep a number of rural Nova Scotia libraries from closing.
It's a conversation about the underlying funding challenge that many public institutions are facing and what it means when private citizens have to step in to write the cheques.
