Bosnian pyramids were "discovered" by Semir Osmanagic in the early 2000s - or so he claims. While most serious archaeologists and historians have long considered this theory bunk, this betrays a deeper story about why Bosnians have been so willing to embrace Semir's work, in spite of his many new age and pseudoscientific beliefs involving the region. Ultimately, this comes down to the tragic history of the relatively young Bosnian nation, and how this has affected the population's psyche.
