DISCLAIMER: This review is not an attack on the author. Rather it is a discussion about how when not dealt with correctly, even an own voices book can be harmful and problematic. Sensitive topics need to be dealt with a lot of care, empathy and research. A lot of us were extremely disappointed with the read and found certain things about it deeply uncomfortable.
