Guest Characters are becoming very common in modern Fighting games. The FGC gives mixed reactions to guest characters as they fill up a slot that could have been given to an older characters in the roster. Or they can be extremely hype and bring the FGC together. Guilty gear strive is getting a new guest character for GGST 2.0. Let's go over the history of guest characters in fighting games.
