My very first food challenge in Finland and we are starting with a absolute monster! 🇫🇮🥙
I headed to Bröner in Helsinki to take on the infamous "Suomen Isoin Döner" (Finland's Largest Döner) challenge. This is a massive 2.5-kilogram (5.5 lbs) Berlin-style beast that has defeated almost everyone who has dared to try it. Only a tiny handful of competitive eaters have ever conquered this plate.
Can I finish the whole thing, or will Finland's biggest kebab get the best of me? Watch to find out!
🍽️ The 2.5 kg Breakdown
To win, I have to completely clean the plate. Here is everything packed into this giant meal:
The Bread: A massive, traditional German roasted Pide flatbread.
The Meat: A whopping 1 kg (2.2 lbs) of seasoned beef döner.
The Veggies: Mixed salad, red cabbage, onions, fresh tomatoes, and pepperoncini.
The Sauces: Slathered in three different house sauces (garlic, herb, and spicy).
The Fluids: Soda and sparkling water to help wash down all that bread and meat.
🏆 The Rules & The Stakes
The Cost: €50 to attempt.
The Reward: Complete it, and you get ultimate glory, your picture cemented on their legendary Wall of Fame, and some sweet promotional rewards. Fail, and you're left with a very heavy stomach and a lighter wallet.
