In "The Big Win," Dr. Anita Phillips reveals that true victory is not something we must struggle to obtain; rather, it is a function of our consent to a win already secured by God. Drawing from the Christmas story, she illustrates how our simple "yes" acts as the only weapon needed to manifest the victory God established for us before we were even born.
Dr. Anita outlines four critical types of consent required for the big win:
• The Yes to Carry: Like Mary, we must be willing to bear divine purposes that are larger than our personal reputations or comfort.
• The Yes to Protect: Like Joseph, we are called to cover and support what God is doing in others, even when we aren't the main character.
• The Yes to Make Space: We must move beyond "protecting our peace" to allow God to expand our capacity to house His moves and serve a hurting world.
• The Yes of Long-Term Obedience: Some victories require playing the "long game," remaining focused on God’s word for decades.
Ultimately, our victory was won in Genesis 3 when God promised the "seed of the woman" would crush the serpent's head. Jesus fulfilled this by becoming fully human, inheriting our vulnerability to fight our battles and secure our adoption as heirs.
