Performance Diesel Inc (aka PDI) in Utah is an industry leader in semi truck performance parts, tuning, and now parts manufacturing. Jerad Wittwer is the man behind the curtain who built the "Big Boss" empire born from a love of working on Caterpillar engines as a young man. While I was out at the PDI facility with Mark Martin filming the compound turbo setup install on his Newell motorcoach, Jerad gave us a tour of the facility. He also took myself and Mark back to his house where he keeps "Family Business" a fully custom show truck Peterbilt with an 1800 horsepower Caterpillar engine built by PDI. They are a massive operation with a location in St George Utah and now Denton Texas as well. They are able to make brand new Caterpillar C15 engines with all of their own parts and even a 3d printed engine block. The semi truck class 8 performance market is WAY bigger than I thought it was!
