I've taken a lot of tours in Rome. This is the one I recommend when someone wants to come away actually understanding ancient Rome, not just walking past it.
The Walks Caesars Palace tour gets you into the House of Augustus and the House of Livia on Palatine Hill, which are closed to the general public. You spend a full hour inside with just your small group and your guide, no crowds, no rushing. The frescoes in those rooms are original and in remarkable condition. Most people have never heard of them.
