This is my quick cover of the 1927 classic "The Best Things in Life Are Free" by Buddy De Sylva, Lew Brown, and Ray Henderson for the musical Good News. I haven't shared much on YouTube for a long time because I'm busy chasing my 2 year old son around, performing live in Nashville, and releasing music, but I'm trying to share more now!
I originally learned this song as a lesson for my Patreon patrons back in 2023. I put together a couple of beginner/intermediate versions, which can be found on my website at abigailflowersmusic.com/new-products/it-had-to-be-you-baritone-ukulele-e-book-easyintermediate-p2hj9. These versions don't use all the barre chords and "up-the-neck" playing I use in this video, but I'd be happy to put together an advanced version like this video if anyone is interested!
As a side note, I did just release some music--it's an arrangement of Edith Piaf's "La Vie en rose" and I am very proud of it.
